Kids club is an after-school program for the local kids of Elizabeth, a northern suburb of Adelaide. This initiative was born in partnership with the Elizabeth Community Centre and local churches. Every Monday YWAM is involved in this ministry. The focus is to spend quality time with kids that otherwise would be left to their own devices after school hours.
Many of the kids come from difficult home environments and are exposed to neglect and hardships that a kid should not go through. Kids club provides a safe space for them. Every afternoon is filled with games, activities, healthy snacks, and Bible studies where they learn Christian values. As volunteers, we are able to give them a sense of belonging and are able to be role models for their futures.
